On September 17, 2016, the Arctic Council's Protection of the Arctic Marine Environment (PAME) Working Group held a workshop on issues surrounding meaningful engagement with Indigenous peoples in the Arctic. The workshop was used to inform and validate the principles and lessons outlined in PAME's Meaningful Engagement of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities Marine Activities (MEMA) project.
