The goal of this strategy and action plan is to facilitate circumpolar implementation of initiatives to conserve and protect the circumpolar kittiwake population. The plan is developed by the Circumpolar Seabird Expert Group (CBird) (https://www. caff.is/seabirds-cbird), part of the Conservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna (CAFF) Working Group of the Arctic Council. It is one of a series developed by CBird with the others focused on Eiders, Ivory Gull and Murres. In this plan, four broad objectives (increased adult morality, reduced breeding success, habitat loss/degradation, and inadequate knowledge of limiting factors) are presented, with a fifty-five action items outlined.en_US
