The Arctic Council Working Group on the Protection of the Arctic Marine Environment (PAME) adopted a Record of Decision at its September 2014 meeting in Whitehorse, Canada inviting Arctic Council member governments to submit to the PAME Secretariat information on studies and assessments, both existing and ongoing, on ship air emissions (in particular black carbon) in the Arctic, methodologies for measuring emissions, and the effect of such emissions on the Arctic marine environment. This document consolidates the submissions of the several Arctic States to the PAME Secretariat.
